German Border Police

The ballistic protection kit for the AS330 Puma helicopters operated by the German Border Police as delivered in early 2005. With this the complete fleet of large Helicopters operated by the German Border Police Force is armoured with International Ceramic Composites Armour Systems.

In order to further improve the protection level International Ceramic Composites designed a armoured seat plate for the AS330 Puma.

As most helicopter manufactures have not yet standardised their equipment interfaces (seat rails, cargo hooks, stretcher connections etc.) the design of individual fastening systems is part of the armour protection package.
